  • Position: Bartender
  • Department : Food and Beverage – Bar
  • Your Head of Department: Food & Beverage Manager is: Your Supervisor is: Asst. F&B Manager or Nominated Representative

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • To report to work in good time, clean and wearing the correct uniform
  • To take responsibility for the operation of the Food and Beverage when on duty
  • To perform all tasks to a consistent and correct standard as per Standard Operational Procedures Manual
  • To ensure guests are assisted promptly and to the correct st andards, up-selling takes place, orders are delivered in a timely
  • To operate the POS computer systems and produce adequate reports at the end of each shift and record relevant information in the handover To handle all types of payment
  • To promote a helpful image to clients and give full co-operation to any customer requiring assistance with a prompt, caring and helpful attitude and to anticipate customer’s needs whenever possible, to enhance quality service and in turn enhance client satisfaction and to record in the handover book for follow up by the Bar Manager
  • To give full co-operation to any colleagues requiring assistance in a friendly and helpful manner
  • To liaise daily with chef in charge to discuss specials and food availability
  • Train and coach in a systematic and professional way to consistently achieve service standards and product delivery
  • To ensure a complete knowledge by the whole team of food and beverage service
  • techniques, all menus, drinks list and specialties and served to correct standards.
    • To deal with customer complaints by following the correct procedures
    • To identify and report all health and safety hazards and maintenance requirements in the work place and follow up to ensure zero defects and record in the handover book

    To positively promote sales awareness within the department and maximize sales opportunities

    • To assist in controlling all operation costs
    • To inform the Bar Manager of any team member who has performed in an unacceptable manner or any team member who is underperforming
    • To remain on shift beyond your scheduled time due to demands of the business to ensure guest satisfaction and ensure guests payment is complete
    • From time to time when business levels are high Bartenders are expected to assist in guest service in front of the bar or hotel restaurant
    • To carry out any duty reasonably requested by the F&B Manager, deputy manager or their nominated representative and to be flexible in assisting around the hotel in response to business needs
